Job Summary and Responsibilities
Performs entry level General/OB/ and/or Vascular ultrasound procedures for physician review.
聽
- Performs exams based on patient anatomy and habitus.
- Assists Radiologists and other Physicians in the performance of exams and procedures that require a physician.
- Performs exams in all areas of the hospital such as portables on units, portables in ED and portables in OR.
- Prepares patients for interventional procedures.
- Maintains the integrity of a sterile field during procedures that require one.
- Closes door/draws curtain when providing care
Job Requirements
Required
High School Graduate/GED
less than 1 year Six months experience performing ultrasound in a clinical setting either training or working
Basic Life Support - CPR
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
Preferred
Associates Other
Higher college level degree
