- Quarterly Tool Allowance
- Change or mount tires in accordance with the guidelines in the Savage Tire Manual, and handle general cleanup tasks
- Maintain systems, ensuring proper equipment, tire needs, requirements, and optimizing ongoing maintenance
- Perform maintenance tasks across locations, including the shop, yard, field, and roadside, during service calls
- Ensure the fleet complies with Savage and DOT regulations by scheduling maintenance cost-effectively, considering factors such as operational life, safety, and replacement needs
- Keep the work environment clean and safe
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Operations Manager
- Ability to become familiar with the Savage Tire Manual and follow proper procedures
- Be familiar with record-keeping for tire maintenance and D.O.T. regulations
- Understand the importance of scheduling equipment for service
- Have experience working on equipment in challenging environments
- Recognize personal limitations and know when to seek assistance
- Possess the ability and willingness to perform essential physical tasks required for the job
- Preferably have one year of prior experience as a Tire Technician
- Be capable of working in adverse conditions, both indoors and outdoors
- Physically able to handle heavy equipment parts and pieces
- Comfortable with climbing on and off equipment
- Physically able to perform daily work in this position
