Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist works in collaboration with unit staff and the inter-disciplinary treatment team to plan, coordinate and implement the group programming in order to meet the treatment needs of the patients. The Occupational Therapist collaborates with the treating physician and interdisciplinary treatment team in determining the appropriate evaluations needed for the patient. The Occupational Therapist provides individual treatment as needed


 


Duties & Responsibilities

•    Evaluates patient needs and participates in determining appropriate treatment interventions.
•    Plans, coordinates, and implements therapeutic activities and group programming.
•    Provides individual treatment and monitors patient response to interventions.
•    Collaborates with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to support patient care and treatment goals.
•    Documents evaluations, treatment activities, and patient progress in a timely manner.
•    Maintains compliance with departmental, organizational, and regulatory requirements.
•    Performs other duties as assigned.

 


Requirements

•    Bachelor's Degree Required; Master's Degree Preferred
•    Minimum 1 to 3 Years
•    Current RI licensure and NBCOT certification
•    Current RI licensure and NBCOT certification
•    Knowledge of professional principles, practices, and standards related to the position.
•    Skill in assessment, communication, and documentation.
•    Ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and other team members.
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
•    Basic computer skills.
