Be their advocate, confidence builder, and difference maker.  

  

Play a critical role in supporting the behavioral, personal, emotional, and social development of students. With our resources and ongoing support, you can be wholly present and do what you love to do: create a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment that fosters student growth and development.

 

 

 


Responsibilities

How you’ll do it:
  • Positively impact students’ educational, behavioral, social, and emotional well-being. 
  • Nurture student potential through personalized, small-group, and classroom counseling, focusing on academic, emotional, behavioral, or developmental needs. 
  • Conduct learning assessments to reveal students' strengths and areas for growth, informing referrals as needed. 
  • Empower parents and school staff by connecting them with community resources that align with students' unique needs. 
  • Ensure administrative excellence by completing accurate, efficient paperwork. 
  • Stay updated on field trends to enhance guidance and support for students. 
  • Foster trust and reliability by adhering to the Counseling Policy Manual, funding guidelines, and school procedures. 
  • Ability to screen, evaluate, counsel, remediate and support students, five to fourteen
    years of age in the academic, career, social and personal domains
    â—Ź Dual background in education and counseling
    â—Ź Experience working in an educational setting, at least 3 years preferred
    â—Ź Experience working in-person within private schools
    â—Ź Experience working with a diverse population of students and families
    â—Ź Experience working with individuals and families with psycho, social and emotional
    needs
