Position Summary: ON CALL Receptionist needed for our busy Internal Medicine/Endocrinology office. Taking inbound phone calls from our patients, scheduling appointments and taking messages for our providers. Successful candidate must maintain a professional image in the office and in all communications. Must be able to multi-task while maintaining good patient and staff relations along with providing outstanding customer service.

 

Essential Job Functions: Taking phone calls from patients, answering or referring inquires appropriately. Optimizes patient satisfaction, utilization by scheduling appointments by telephone or in person through computer software systems. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Maintains patient records by obtaining and accurately recording patient demographics, insurance, and billing information. Responds appropriately to unexpected office events and situations. Protects the right of patients by maintaining confidentiality of personal, health and financial information. Maintains operations by following policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications: Bilingual spanish speaking. Excellent computer, telephone, and communication skills. Customer service skills, organization, and attention to detail. Dependable, a team player, friendly and professional. Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced and stressful environment and manage a multi-line telephone system. Medical office experience preferred but not required. High school diploma or equivalent.

 

Hours: 0-40 Monday-Friday
