Quote Team Engineer III

Create and review complex quote packages including Bills of Material (BOMs), labor estimates, machine times, OSP costs, Etc. based on customer provided technical data packages (TDPs).

Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Quote Team Engineer III: $80,000 - $90,000
Pay commensurate with experience.
Â

Quote Team Engineer III Responsibilities Include:Â
Performs analysis of the quote BOM and provides corrections.
Interprets engineering and technical information for quote requirements.Â
Utilize CAD/CAM systems to create machining simulations for run time estimates.
Research/read specifications to determine data package completeness.
Interact with customers to obtain and or clarify technical information.
Read/interpret print and model data to verify internal process capabilities match.
Creates BOMs for quotes.
Calculates labor for estimates for the quoting team.
Obtains material pricing from suppliers for BOMs.
Coordinate with Supply Chain/Vendor Base to obtain Outside Process (OSP) pricing.
Reviews the quote package for special requirements not currently performed.
Interact with engineering/production/management personnel to determine manufacturing strategies.
Participates in discussions with customers and suppliers as required. Â

Quote Team Engineer III Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:Â
Engineering Degree and 3 to 5 years of related experience required.
3D modeling software experience required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as processing specifications, engineering drawings, and technical descriptions.Â
Ability to understand material properties.Â
Knowledge of CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication.Â
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions.Â
Functional knowledge of MS Office suite, general ERP and Inventory system knowledge.
Advanced interpersonal, telephone, problem solving, organization, and time management skills.
Ability to maintain patience and a strong attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, symbols, and geometric tolerances based on military and commercial specifications.Â
Working knowledge of specifications and requirements for commercial, military and aerospace component manufacturing that includes coatings, heat treatment, machining and sheet metal fabrications.
Ability to research, understand, and implement new technologies for possible cost savings and process improvements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well with others in a team-based environment.
Experience working with government contracts is a plus.
Experience with DIBBS system a plus.
Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
