Summary:
Volunteers: We are looking for volunteers to help create a welcoming, organized, and enjoyable event for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to engage comfortably with individuals of all abilities. The volunteer plays a key part in ensuring a smooth and inclusive experience for the 800+ expected attendees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with event setup
- Welcoming and directing guests
- Helping at the registration and check-in table
- Distributing event materials
- Providing directions and general event support
- Assisting at activity or resource tables
- Setting up and organizing the food-serving area
- Serving food and drinks to guests
- Restocking food, beverages, and supplies
- Keeping event areas clean and organized
- Assisting with cleanup after the event
Requirements
Volunteers should be friendly, dependable, patient, and comfortable interacting with individuals of all abilities. Volunteers must follow staff directions and all applicable food-safety procedures.

- Able to remain at the sign-in area for the duration of the assigned shift
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- May need to lift boxes with event materials (up to 15 lbs)
