Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to direct care staff during assigned shifts.
- Ensure adequate staff coverage and adherence to staffing ratios.
- Monitor resident activities and ensure a safe, structured environment.
- Respond to behavioral incidents, crises, and emergencies according to policy.
- Conduct shift briefings and communicate important information to staff.
- Complete required documentation, reports, and incident notifications.
- Assist with resident supervision, transportation, appointments, and activities as needed.
- Ensure implementation of treatment plans, behavior support plans, and daily programming.
- Monitor medication administration processes and report concerns.
- Serve as a role model for professional conduct and therapeutic interactions.
- Participate in staff training and ongoing professional development.
- Report maintenance, safety, and facility concerns promptly.
Requirements
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience working with youth in residential treatment, mental health, or human services.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Prevention/Intervention certification (or ability to obtain).
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
