Job Description

The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research and Development Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

The Health Registration Management (HRM) Intern will work within the HRM Business Process Operations team to help support the maintenance and operation of transitioned processes and systems to Veeva Registrations.  This role will enable efficient, optimized and streamlined support for registration management.  The recent move to the Veeva RIM Registrations Vault will be supported by these activities.

The objective of this internship will be to help facilitate, under the HRM team direction, optimization efforts of the Veeva Registration System, as well as a smooth roll-out of additional Veeva capabilities in accordance with our company’s approach to Veeva. This will allow for lifecycle system management processes that align with our collective business and IT goals.  These various processes involve accuracy and compliance of information management that reflects regulatory reality for our products and allows for product release.

The processes supported will include our change control board, our functional area collaboration teams, HRM documentation, training and education; HRM website maintenance and AI ready resources.  This role will involve consistent collaboration with the HRM Process Team, HRM Leadership Team (LT) and our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within various functional areas that utilize the system and collaborate with HRM.  

 

Responsibilities/Deliverables

  • Utilization of website design fundamentals and user experience research

  • Incorporate streamlined ways of working and aid in roll-out of new or changed processes, including updates to documentation, website and process diagrams

  • Make updates/changes to existing tools/platforms that support processes and align to new or transitioned processes due to the Veeva system implementation

  • Review and assess AI capabilities available for SharePoint, including Microsoft 365 Copilot and Knowledge Agent features

  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to simplify, automate or improve HRM business processes and user experience through digital tools, AI and process optimization

  • Develop and test prototypes or proof-of-concept solutions, where appropriate, and provide recommendations for potential implementation

  • Ensure solutions align with usability, accessibility, security, and company standards

  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather feedback, validate solutions, and support implementation

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Proficiency in website design and development

  • Knowledge of coding languages used in SharePoint websites, such as, HTML, CSS, .NET, JavaScript, or C#

  • Experience with SharePoint and their associated tools

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Copilot, AI technologies, automation, or an interest in developing experience in these areas

  • Ability to analyze business process and translate user or business needs into practical digital solutions

  • Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with others

  • Ability to work independently to deliver objectives for the team

  • Experience with Microsoft Platform Power Automate / Power Apps

  • Strong problem solving, debugging and analytical and critical-thinking skills, including the ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs

  • Strong attention to detail

Education:

Candidates must be college students and preferably with a major in the below:

  • Sciences (Biology, Chemistry etc.)

  • Regulatory/Health Policy

  • Information Systems/Computer Science/Human Computer Interaction/Artificial Intelligence

  • Related disciplines
