POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Supervisor, Clinical Operations oversees the daily workflow and performance of clinical technicians, ensuring operational efficiency, quality, and staff support. This role manages work queues, provides coaching and training, and serves as a key point of support for both technicians and leads. The Supervisor also maintains a positive, collaborative environment that promotes growth, accountability, and employee engagement.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:


Operational Oversight

  • Monitor technicians’ workflow, production, phone activity, and breaks to ensure efficient operations.
  • Manage event and MCT queues, ensuring timely processing and quality standards.
  • Assign MCTs and prepare shift reports as needed.
  • Handle daily duties such as processing MCTs, event logs, and answering patient and physician calls.


Coaching & Development

  • Assist leads and technicians with questions or operational challenges.
  • Conduct 1:1 coaching sessions and retraining to support technician growth and performance improvement.
  • Lead annual performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Create supportive guides and resources to aid in continuing education and troubleshooting (e.g., phone troubleshooting).


Scheduling & Workforce Support

  • Review and manage PTO requests, holiday schedules, and staffing coverage.
  • Serve as an emotional and professional support for staff, actively listening to concerns and guiding technicians through challenging situations.
  • Promote a positive team culture, fostering engagement, collaboration, and accountability.


Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to department policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Identify workflow gaps and provide feedback or solutions to improve efficiency and consistency.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

 

  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to support and mentor clinical staff.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in clinical operations, MCT, or event monitoring preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a supportive, collaborative, and accountable team environment.
