Position Summary:


The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, and repair of production equipment and facility systems. This position performs preventive maintenance, assists with troubleshooting equipment issues, completes repairs, and helps ensure safe and efficient operation of manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
  • Respond to maintenance requests promptly to minimize downtime and safety risks.
  • Carry out minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, or electrical repairs as needed.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures at all times.
  • Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and internal staff to complete projects efficiently.
  • Document all work performed and maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in the maintenance field in a warehouse facility environment
  • Previous experience in general building maintenance preferred.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and structural repair methods.
  • Ability to safely use power tools, hand tools, and other equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks on a regular basis.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
