What does a Pre-Board Screening Officer do?
- Screen the travelling public and their belongingsÂ
- Ensure non-permitted items do not enter the secure areaÂ
- Control access to restricted areas  Â
- Respond to alarms and report any events, illegal acts or violations  Â
- Participate in emergency operations within the airportÂ
Â
Qualifications to become a Pre-Board Screening Officer? Â
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or a permanent residentÂ
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Â
- Spoken and written English and FrenchÂ
- Have a clean criminal record & eligible to obtain a RAIC (security clearance) Â
- 18 years of age or olderÂ
- Must be located near Halifax or willing to relocate before starting.
