Position: Jr. Accountant
Reports to: Accountant
Summary: Â The Junior Accountant plays a key role in managing high-volume accounts payable and payroll activities for a fast-paced healthcare organization. Responsibilities include invoice processing, account reconciliations, payroll administration, vendor relations, financial reporting, and supporting month-end and year-end accounting processes. This position contributes to the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of the organization's financial operations. Must be willing to be 4x/wk in office in Red Bank NJ, 1x/wk remote.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enter and process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently & prepare bi-weekly report to display upcoming invoice paymentsÂ
- Perform AP reconciliations, including vendor statements and internal recordsÂ
- Review of invoices for accuracy, proper coding, and approval routingÂ
- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and handle inquiriesÂ
- Maintain vendor files and ensure all documentation is complete and up to dateÂ
- Assist with month-end close tasks related to Accounts PayableÂ
- Support ad hoc AP tasks and vendor needs as they ariseÂ
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including deductions, taxes, etcÂ
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulationsÂ
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues or errorsÂ
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as neededÂ
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and reportingÂ
- Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate employee data and proper communication regarding payroll mattersÂ
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and best practicesÂ
- All other duties as assigned

Requirements
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related fieldÂ
• 1-2 years relevant experience required Â
• Previous payroll processing experience requiredÂ
• Knowledge of NetSuite preferredÂ
• Knowledge of Paylocity preferredÂ
• Ability to make decisions, problem solve and work independentlyÂ
• Ability to keep organized records and good documentation skillsÂ
