Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Manager, Clinical Engineering (CE), you will manage the operations of the Clinical Engineering Department, developing and directing a comprehensive strategic life cycle asset management program to deliver a compliant, cost-effective service that exceeds quality and financial expectations across multiple facilities.

 

Every day you will ensure our program aligns with established Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators. This includes actively working to lower annual maintenance costs, increase equipment life cycles, and provide exceptional customer service. You will also ensure the program is recognized as the trusted subject matter expert for pre-purchase evaluations and total life cycle cost analysis.

 

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional leadership in engineering management, a profound understanding of regulatory compliance and asset lifecycle management, and a proven ability to drive cost savings and enhance equipment longevity.

 

  • Ensure SLA compliance and lead Monthly Operational Report meetings with hospital leadership
  • Build collaborative partnerships to implement robust medical device security programs
  • Establish and enforce policies to maintain a fully compliant Clinical Engineering operation
  • Drive financial performance through multi-site service strategies and variance bridge planning
  • Manage professional development, goal setting, and performance reviews for direct reports
  • Oversee daily administrative operations including staffing, on-call rotations, and expense management

Job Requirements

Required

  • Associates Other in a related field , upon hire.
  • Minimum of three years as a supervisor/lead technician in the Clinical Engineering industry. (Advanced roles require 5 years leading technical teams including direct responsibility for all aspects of staff management).

  • Valid Driver's License

Preferred

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician
  • Certified Healthcare Technician Manager

This position requires participation in a rotational on-call schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be available to respond to urgent service needs outside of regular business hours and may be required to return to the facility on short notice.
