Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world — from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies. As a Front End Engineer on this team, you will architect and build the Console platform where customers purchase, manage, and maintain their internet service. You will use React, Next.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to create accessible, performant interfaces that work at global scale. The team is actively expanding customer features on the platform, making this a great time to join and shape the product from the ground up.

Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the {ADDRESS} as a refugee or granted asylum.

Key job responsibilities
- Architect and build scalable, highly available front-end applications using React, Next.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for the Console platform that powers the end-to-end customer experience.
- Collaborate with backend engineers, UX designers, and product managers to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguity, and ship integrated features.
- Review code across the team, provide constructive feedback, and help maintain a consistent, high-quality codebase.
- Own your work through the full development lifecycle — design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support — and drive root-cause resolution when issues arise.
- Document how your software is built, tested, and operated, and onboard new team members so they can contribute quickly.

A day in the life
You will start your morning joining sprint ceremonies with your team to align on priorities and unblock work in progress. From there, your time splits between heads-down implementation — building and refining Commerce platform features for purchasing and managing internet service — and collaborative sessions with backend teams to clarify integration points and resolve open questions. Your work is roadmap-driven, so you will have a clear view of what you are building and why it matters to customers around the world.
