Konica Minolta Sensing Americas, Inc. (KMSA) is seeking a Service Center Technician to support the servicing, repair, calibration, testing, and quality evaluation of customer and production systems. This position combines hands on technical work with service coordination, documentation, and customer communication throughout the service process.

The Service Center Technician will work closely with customers, distributors, Sales, Technical Support, Production, and other internal teams to coordinate systems returning for service, clarify statements of work, communicate status and turnaround expectations, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure accurate service and quality records. The role also supports the assembly, calibration, testing, and evaluation of new KMSA systems and contributes to continuous improvement across production, diagnostic, and quality processes.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, problem solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working both independently and collaboratively.

This position is 100% onsite at our Redmond, Washington headquarters and requires daily onsite presence to support production, diagnostics, service, and laboratory activities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·       Lead all customer relationship management activities related to systems returning to the factory for servicing.

·       Prepare instructions for, and perform system quality checks, servicing, repairs, and recalibration activities for systems returning to the factory.

·       Maintain accurate production records, workflow documentation, and quality logs.

·       Maintain accurate records related to systems returning to the factory for servicing.

·       Operate and maintain lab equipment, instruments, and cleanroom workspaces per established procedures.

·       Maintain the internal demo system pool.

·       Support Sales team strategies by advocating for production job prioritization, assessing inventory levels, relaying current lead and turnaround times.

·       Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex technical issues, collaborating cross-functionally as needed.

·       Contribute to product and software validation efforts, including testing and feedback.

·       Follow all safety, quality, ESD control, and cleanroom gowning/material handling protocols.

·       Participate in or lead team meetings to provide updates and close action items.

·       Support field action documentation and cross-functional coordination as needed.

·       Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Technical Support, Production, and Purchasing.

·       Recommend and implement enhancements to production, diagnostic, and QA processes.

·       Contribute to cross-functional training, workflow improvements, and system implementations.

 

Desired Skills & Experience

·       High school diploma or GED required; A.S. in Electronics or technical certification preferred.

·       1–3+ years of experience in manufacturing, cleanroom assembly, electromechanical systems, or QA diagnostics.

·       Experience using hardware and software-based measurement systems.

·       Basic understanding of electronics, schematics, and diagnostic troubleshooting.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to break down complex issues into actionable pieces.

·       Effective verbal and written communication skills.

·       Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

·       Ability to manage daily activites without frequent oversight

·       Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).

·       Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.

·       Familiarity with ISO requirements preferred.

·       Familiarity with CRM, support ticketing, and work tracking systems.

BASE PAY RANGE:
$95,000 - $115,000 DOS/E

This position is eligible for experience specific compensation ranges based on candidate experience; compensation will be aligned and determined based on these criteria. Fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience levels, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
