We are currently seeking an Agronomy Applicator at our Redwood Falls, MN location     Job Overview Meadowland Farmers Coop agronomy locations throughout Southwest Minnesota provide high quality fertilizer, seed and crop production products and agronomy and technical services, including crop input planning and fertilizer and chemical application, using our state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. The Agronomy Applicator is an integral part of the location team ensuring the precise application of fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides to crops to ensure optimal crop health, maximum yields, and efficient farm production. The applicator operates specialized machinery, handles crop protection products, maintains equipment, and documents applications in compliance with safety and environmental regulations     Job Responsibilities Safely operate a sprayer, airflow, tandem, water truck, and more to transport to farm destinations. Adhere to all relevant regulations and safety standards governing the transportation of fertilizer and other crop inputs, including Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies. Load and unload fertilizer and other crop inputs using appropriate equipment and techniques by following established procedures to prevent spills, contamination, and other safety hazards. Provide exceptional customer service and courteous manner, addressing customer inquiries or concerns, and maintaining professional conduct at all times. Apply fertilizer and chemicals to designated location. Operate sprayer, floater, tender trucks, tractors, and other equipment Pull water tanks, anhydrous ammonia tanks, or other needed items Maintain the upkeep and cleanliness of equipment and assigned location Due to the seasonality of our business and as business conditions require, this position will perform work tasks for other company agronomy locations and other company departments including Feed, Grain, Energy, Bins, Shops, etc. as directed by their Location Manager. Qualifications  Requirements High school diploma or GED and 1 year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Valid driver's license and clean MVR Good communication skills, attention to detail, and accuracy Team player Desired Requirements Class A CDL, Tanker and HAZMAT endorsements (or the ability to obtain) Commercial pesticide applicators license (or ability to obtain)   Work Environment/Physical Demands Work is typically completed in an outdoor setting at various locations.  The employee may regularly be exposed to extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.); noisy conditions; dust, fumes, and chemicals.
