Maintenance - Industrial, Entry-level

Primex Plastics Corporation is seeking an avid gearhead to be our next Industrial Maintenance Trainee at our Reedsburg, Wisconsin facility. The starting wage for this position is based on experience/skills plus receives wage increases at 60 days, 6 months, and 1st anniversary, as well as generous quarterly bonuses.  This means you could earn $50,000+ in your first year, depending on experience and bonus performance.

Responsibilities Include performing maintenance and repairs on automated industrial equipment, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and heaters. If you have strong core skills in some of these systems, we will train on the job and/or provide outside schooling as needed.  Related experience may include automotive engine rebuilds, repairing farm equipment, HVAC repair, programming robotics, etc. If you like working with your hands and understanding how things work, we have a career path for you! 

Schedule: This position will require working 1st shift for 1-2 years for training but will ultimately be assigned to 2nd or 3rd shift.

Preferred Skills:

1. Ability to successfully troubleshoot and repair complex machines.
2. Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
3. Basic welding and metal fabrication skills.
4. Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical blueprints.
5. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work independently, and make time-efficient decisions.
