About the Role


Reggio's Treehouse is seeking a dedicated early childhood education leader to join our leadership team as Assistant Center Director at our Reston, VA location. This role is central to welcoming families, fostering outstanding care, and building strong relationships with parents and staff alike.


You'll support the overall operations of the center, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations while helping create a nurturing, inspiring environment for every child who walks through our doors.


What You'll Do


  • Assist the Director with daily center operations
  • Manage staff schedules and classroom assignments
  • Ensure compliance with childcare licensing regulations
  • Maintain the school facility and grounds
  • Champion and promote the program's educational philosophy
  • Cover classrooms as needed to maintain proper ratios and compliance
  • Represent Reggio's Treehouse at community events
  • Support center financial duties and manage technical equipment


What You Bring


  • High integrity, strong interpersonal skills, and a vision for excellence
  • Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and supervisory abilities
  • Familiarity with NAEYC accreditation standards
  • Ability to lead educators in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum


Qualifications (per Virginia Department of Education requirements) β€” one of the following:


  • A graduate degree, endorsement, or bachelor's degree in a child-related field,Β or
  • 48 semester hours (minimum 12 in a child-related field),Β or
  • 72 quarter hours (minimum 18 in a child-related field)


Plus:


  • 2 years of programmatic experience, including 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Additional advanced educational qualifications as applicable
