Janitor I

The Plant Custodian performs custodial work in a manufacturing and office environment. Responsibilities may include janitorial, common area minor maintenance, throughout building interiors and/or exteriors. 
What You’ll Do:

• Sweeps, vacuums, mops floors throughout the building
• May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
• Gather and empty trash regularly throughout the day.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Wipe tables and chairs with soap and water.
• Vacuum in designated areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
 
What You’ll Need:

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
• Job requires extended periods of walking and/or standing.
• Operate floor scrubber, vacuum, and other cleaning tools.
• The ability to maintain reliable and predictable good attendance.
• A high level of dependability, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal.
