Commercial Construction Electrician

Job Summary:

The Commercial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings and facilities. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical code compliance, blueprints, and job safety standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in commercial buildings.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of electrical systems.

  • Ensure electrical systems comply with all relevant codes and safety standards (NEC, local, and state regulations).

  • Plan and install electrical panels, conduit, switches, receptacles, lighting, and other electrical components.

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform preventive maintenance as required.

  • Collaborate with project managers, foremen, apprentices, and other trades to ensure efficient workflow.

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition.

  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical theory, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and standard industry practices.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environments.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
