About the RoleÂ
Complete maintenance and repair work orders using work order softwareÂ
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipmentÂ
Respond promptly to emergencies and resolve issues safely and efficientlyÂ
Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and partsÂ
Communicate effectively with tenants, vendors, and team members regarding building needsÂ
Ensure all work complies with safety standards, policies, and proceduresÂ
Support the Senior Property Manager in monitoring building operations and vendor performanceÂ
Perform other duties and special projects as assignedÂ

QualificationsÂ
High school diploma or GEDÂ required; technical or vocational training in maintenance-related fields preferredÂ
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between assigned properties as needed.
Minimum of 6 years of related maintenance experience; preferably in healthcare, commercial real estate, or hospital environmentsÂ
Certifications (e.g., HVAC, CFC Handling, Electrical, Plumbing) preferredÂ
Must be located in the Richmond, VA area with availability for after-hours emergencies and participation in on-call rotationÂ
Must be in office, on-site, 5 days a week and drive to the various properties with employee owned vehicle, as neededÂ
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, climb ladders/stairs, and perform extensive walkingÂ
Basic computer skills and comfort using maintenance or work order softwareÂ
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship now or in the futureÂ

The estimated base salary range for this position is $38–$46 per hour. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of the base salary Ventas reasonably expects to pay at the time of posting. Actual base pay will be determined based on work location, skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and business needs.Â
