Overview

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a Fleet Operations Manager to join our team at Nova Guides in Red Cliff, Colorado. As a Fleet Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanics shop, snowmobile and equipment maintenance, managing inventory, parts, purchasing, and vehicle licensing for Nova Guides.

Unit Description

Delaware North operates Nova Guides and Camp Hale Weddings located in the Vail, Colorado area. The property features a main lodge with a restaurant and retail shop. Nova Guides provides ATV/UTV guided tours and rentals, winter snowmobile and snow coach guided tours and rentals, and private fly fishing and archery instruction. Delaware North Team Members receive 50% off on meals on workdays, and 20% off retail shop items. Twice yearly, enjoy Free Family Day, offering free access to Jeeps, Snowmobiles, and Side-by-Sides.

Responsibilities

  • Lead team of mechanics with daily work direction and all maintenance-related events and ensure all fleet members have proper licensure and up-to-date training
  • Monitor team members' performance and be accessible to all areas of the shop 
  • Communicate with guests regarding any inquiries or issues with their snowmobile, and provide reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance, and fleet progress
  • Conduct inventory checks of snowmobile and vehicle stock, and perform maintenance checks on all vehicles and snowmobiles   
  • Establish efficient routes and transportation schedules and methods to decrease cost
  • Manage asset application in HotSOS
  • Operate company vehicles on property

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a snowmobile and vehicle mechanic, and management experience in a maintenance-related environment  
  • Strong knowledge of technical vehicle and snowmobile repair procedures and proficient with tools and necessary materials common with the mechanic trade 
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays  
  • Must possess a valid driver's license

 


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and regularly carry up to 70 pounds  
  • Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
  • Physical ability to work in extreme weather at high elevations
