The Automation Tech will primarily be responsible for the Setup, Operation and Troubleshooting of Automated and Robotic Equipment on the Production floor. This will include upkeep of Robotic Equipment, End-of-Arm Tooling and Teaching Robot Positions. The Automation Tech reports to the Manufacturing Engineer.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
· Diagnose and Troubleshoot Equipment issues on the production floor
· Adjust Robot Programs
· Install End of Arm tooling
· Perform equipment modifications using hand and power tools
· Setup Robot Cells on a job specific basis
· Maintain pneumatic and electrical components on the Robot Cells
· Utilize a forklift to move a Robot Cell
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· High School Diploma (or equivalent), Technical degree (robotics, automation, electrical, maintenance) or equivalent
experience
· Must have some understanding of automation systems: mechanical equipment, tooling, robotics, controls, software, etc.
· Robot Programming experience –Fanuc preferred
· Understanding of pneumatic and electrical circuits and components
· Ability to use hand tools to adjust equipment
· Ability to diagnose and fix issues with equipment
· Must be able to work safely in a production environment; must be physically capable of performing job related tasks and
job duties
· Good organizational skills – must have ability to determine priorities, manage time properly, and multi-task. stand, stoop, and
lift objects up to 50 lbs.
· Good verbal and communication skills
· Ability to work in a team environment with positive outcomes
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Humidity level may be elevated during summer months.
· Work closely with maintenance, production, and plant manager
· Exposure to loud noise levels, at times
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· This position requires long periods of standing and walking
