DUTIES:

  • Supervise 5-10 employees in a distribution environment on a shipping dock, the employees are responsible for: palletizing cartons, metering orders, manifesting paperwork, wrapping, staging, loading, working reports, following company policy/procedures & safety measures and staying for OT as required

  • Monitor the continuous flow of distribution to customers both domestic/international

  • Prepare and ship orders according to work flow agenda (wave schedule); meeting daily financial projections.

  • Participate daily in all work related department tasks when and where needed to reach projections.
  • Responsible for scanning on the dock
  • Oversee all departments/employees from 3am-5am
  • Oversee Full Case duties on Saturday and when needed throughout the week

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • College degree or commensurate work experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience working in a distribution warehouse
  • Experience delegating work
  • Experience meeting daily quotas/standards
  • Ability to work well and effectively under pressure
  • Shipping dock experience
  • Equipment certifications: forklift and pallet jack
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Computer skills: EOT, WMS, AL, Scheduling website
  • MS office, including intermediate Access capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to motivate employees
  • Ability to adhere to all safety standards & company policy/procedures
  • Ability to stand on feet for entire shift and walk long distances
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Work daily OT and weekends as needed
  • Schedule flexibility as work dictates

SCHEDULED WORK HOURS: 1st shift:- Tuesday-Saturday 3:00am-11:00am (Saturday would be 5am-1pm)
