We’relooking for an enthusiastic and experienced Deputy Manager to support theday-to-day running of the nursery, lead and inspire the team, and help ensurethe highest standards of care, learning, and compliance. You’ll work closelywith the Nursery Manager to create a positive environment for children,families, and staff.

This is afull-time role, 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

KeyResponsibilities:

·       Ensure the safety and wellbeing ofevery child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.
·       Understand and ensure that therequirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout thenursery.
·       Assist in managing the acceptance andadministration of medication and ensure care plans are thorough and up to datefor children or staff with health conditions.
·       Ensure that all children receivestimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources that areappropriate to their age and stage of development.
·       Promote respect and credibility forthis position through effective communication skills, impartiality, andconsistency.
·       Inspire staff team with creativeideas and new challenges with aim to achieve outstanding practice.
·       Undertake any other duties to ensurethe smooth running of the nursery and safety and wellbeing of children, staff,and families.

Requirements:

·       Full and relevant Level 3 inChildcare qualification - Essential
·       Over 1 years’ experience of workingin Early Years - Essential
·       Sound knowledge of the statutoryframework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
·       Over 1 years’ experience of workingin a management position - Desirable.
·       Level 5 qualification in Childcareand/or Management and Leadership - Desirable
·       Experience of successfully passing anOfsted inspection to good or outstanding – Desirable.
