Title: Preventative Maintenance Technician I-2nd Shift

 

 

 

 

Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. is actively searching for a Preventative Maintenance Technician-First Shift at our Ave Maria, FL Manufacturing facility.  The Preventative Maintenance Technician coordinates and performs all cleaning procedures on the CNC machines or any other need on the production floor. A High School Diploma and 6 months of directly related experience is required. Join our talented team at a global medical device company focused on Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™.

 

The second shift hours are:  2:00 pm-10:30 pm, Monday-Friday

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning out the chip beds/vacuuming of the reservoirs in the CNC machines with filtration vacuum.
  • Processing the chips through the Chip Spinner to extract the oil.
  • Returning recovered oil back to the machines.
  • Disposal of metal chips into recycle containers.
  • Ensuring that the machines have proper oil levels maintained.
  • Keep track of oil inventory.
  • Perform basic operations when needed to help with production re: crimping, shearing, bending, Gun drill or any other needs on the production floor.
  • Assist as needed in other facilities maintenance duties.

 

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months of directly related training and/or experience in typically required for carrying out the responsibilities of this job required

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Ability to use cleaning equipment and supplies. Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment. 

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Cleaning machines.

 

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above.  Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.  Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.

 

Physical Demands:

Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.

 

Vision Requirements:

Visual acuity necessary to do the job safely and effectively.
