Overview

Job Specifics:

We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Neurosurgery team. The APP will work closely with two experienced Neurosurgeons, providing both inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic care. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly skilled and supportive team, with opportunities for professional growth as the service line continues to develop.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with 3 Neurosurgeons in managing patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Shared call responsibilities for the Neurosurgery service.
  • Provide high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population

Schedule:

  • Initially structured as 8-hour shifts
  • Planned transition to 10-hour shifts as the team expands

    • Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
  • Licensed to provide either an advanced practice nursing services in the State of Illinois as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act] OR [physician assistant services as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987 ("Act") Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics.
  • BLS/ALS Certified Experience is preferred however; new graduates will be considered.
