Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Monday through Friday, 8 hour shift between 7:00am- 4:00pm; no weekends or holidays.t, this is a hybrid position, in person work location will be UW Health N. Bell School Rd. Clinic 3535 Bell School Rd.

We welcome you to apply for the Billing Specialist Research position, part of the Oncology Research program at UW-Health’s Carbone Cancer Center in Rockford. Successful candidates have experience working in a Research program’s Rev Cycle and have experience in Medicare Coverage Analysis forms, contract negotiation for potential trials (both pharmaceutical and non-industry trials), and performing audits over internal Research Rev Cycle processes. This is an exciting time to be a part of a fast-paced and growing team leading cancer care in our region.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education or certification in medical coding, business or health-related field. Required or
Three (3) years of experience in medical billing may be considered in lieu of post-secondary education or certification in addition to the experience below. Required
Bachelor's Degree in business or heath-related field. Preferred

Work Experience

1 year of coding or medical billing experience. Required
Experience in an academic health system. Preferred
Experience with Epic applications. Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent. Preferred
