Expected pay for this position is $21.72 - $25.55/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.


Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The College Registrar provides leadership and oversight for the administration and integrity of the institution’s academic records and registration functions. This role ensures accurate and compliant management of student records in accordance with institutional policies, FERPA, and applicable federal and state regulations. The Registrar oversees core operations including course registration, academic record maintenance, transcript processing, degree audits, graduation certification, enrollment status changes, and academic standing actions. The Registrar serves as a key resource for academic policy interpretation and implementation, supporting scheduling, curriculum record maintenance, and timely reporting related to enrollment and student progression. This position also supports ongoing optimization of the student information system (SIS) through system configuration, documentation, training, and process improvement in collaboration with faculty, staff, and academic leadership.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.

 

Experience: 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in higher education, preferably in a Registrar’s Office, Records, or Academic Operations.

 

Other Skills/ Knowledge: Strong knowledge of academic records, student policies, FERPA compliance, and confidentiality standards. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to support students, faculty, and staff professionally. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail with strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) with the ability to build reports and track data effectively. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and collaborate across departments.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.

 

Experience: Experience in a Registrar’s Office supporting registration, transcript processing, transfer credit evaluation, degree audits, and graduation processing. Experience working within health sciences or nursing education environments (preferred). Familiarity with student information systems (SIS), degree audit tools, and reporting platforms (e.g., SONIS, Jenzabar, Banner, Colleague, Slate, CRM systems).

 

Licensure/ Certification: AACRAO training or professional development coursework (preferred) FERPA training certification (preferred)

 

Other Skills/ Knowledge: Ability to interpret and apply academic catalog policies, curriculum requirements, and accreditation-related academic standards. Strong customer service mindset with a commitment to student success and operational excellence. Experience supporting process documentation, auditing, and quality control for academic records.
