We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to oversee and optimize our inventory processes. This role will work closely with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams to ensure that inventory is accurately maintained, properly documented, and available to meet customer demand. This position is hourly and non-exempt status.


WHAT we need you to do.

• Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demands and avoid shortages or overstocking.
 • Record and track inventory movements; reconcile physical counts with system records.
 • Process purchasing orders, receive and unpack goods, and handle returns as necessary.
 • Work closely with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
 • Provide detailed reports on inventory activities, variances, and trends to management.
 • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices, including cycle counts and material order flows.
 • Identify and resolve discrepancies between inventory records and physical counts.
 • Adjust and maintain minimum/maximum levels; purchase accordingly to ensure proper stock availability.
 • Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, including tracking, inspection, labeling, and proper storage of products.
 • Support production teams by ensuring accurate completion of Work Orders to meet customer demand.
 • Perform other duties as assigned to support the greater inventory management process.


What you need to possess.

• High school diploma or GED required; degree in supply chain management or a related field is a plus.
 • Previous experience in inventory control, logistics, or a related field preferred.
 • Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
 • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
 • Good communication skills to effectively interact with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
 • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.


Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift to 30 lbs. frequently and occasionally more than 50 lbs.
 • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and stand for extended periods.
 • Work is performed primarily on the warehouse floor and office environment.
