About the Role:

The Flatwork/DryFold position is essential in ensuring the efficient processing and handling of laundered textiles, primarily focusing on flatwork items such as sheets, tablecloths, and other large fabric pieces. The role involves operating specialized folding and finishing equipment to prepare textiles for delivery or further use, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. This position requires attention to detail to identify and address any imperfections or issues with the fabric during the folding process. The successful candidate will contribute to the overall workflow by collaborating with team members to meet production targets and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Ultimately, this role supports the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction by ensuring that all flatwork items are processed accurately and efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Basic mechanical aptitude to operate folding machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a laundry, textile processing, or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with industrial folding and finishing equipment.
• Basic knowledge of workplace safety standards and procedures.
• Good communication skills to effectively work within a team.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate flatwork folding machines and dry fold equipment to process laundered textiles according to company standards.
• Inspect textiles for stains, tears, or defects and report any issues to supervisors for resolution.
• Sort and organize folded items for packaging and distribution, ensuring accuracy in counts and order fulfillment.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area, adhering to all company policies and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and assist in training new employees as needed.

Skills:

The required skills such as attention to detail and mechanical aptitude are critical for operating folding machinery accurately and identifying any fabric defects during processing.
