Rome Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team This position supports providers and clinical staff by performing a combination of administrative and clinical duties in a fast-paced healthcare setting. The Medical Assistant plays an important role in coordinating patient care, supporting daily operations, and helping ensure a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist providers and nursing staff with patient care and clinical procedures
  • Prepare patients for appointments, procedures, and treatments
  • Obtain and document vital signs and patient information
  • Organize and maintain patient records and medical documentation
  • Coordinate scheduling, testing, and follow-up appointments
  • Communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and outside healthcare facilities
  • Collect laboratory specimens, including phlebotomy and microbiology swabs
  • Perform EKG testing as directed
  • Prepare exam and treatment areas and maintain clinical supplies
  • Support patient flow and help ensure efficient daily operations
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all safety and compliance standards

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior experience working in a hospital, ambulatory, or medical office setting preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Basic clinical and computer skills preferred
