North America Public Relations Manager

 

ADP is hiring a North America Public Relations Manager who will sit within the Global Media Relations & Public Affairs team. The Manager is a strategic role responsible for driving ADP’s brand awareness across US and Canada through communications programs and media relations strategies that position ADP as a leader in HCM innovation and data-driven expertise. The Manager will develop and execute targeted press and editorial strategies in partnership with the external PR agencies, to maximize earned media value regionally and locally. The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller with a deep understanding of the evolving communications landscape, has established media and influencer relationships and experience managing agency partnerships to deliver impactful PR programs. This person will serve as a strategic communications partner, leading day-to-day execution across earned media and reputation-building initiatives to elevate the visibility and growth of ADP across North America.

This is a hybrid role, based three days on-site in Roseland, NJ.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communications programs, driving brand awareness, storytelling and media engagement.
  • Establish, develop and maintain day-to-day relationships with key press covering the workforce and labor market, talent and HR and AI/innovation storylines.
  • Leverage data findings and studies from ADP Research to tap into current news cycle with timely stories and pitches that secure coverage.
  • Develop and execute media pitches and programs; measure performance to influence future strategies
  • Work closely with subject matter experts and executives by securing media interviews across US and Canada media landscape.
  • Assist with drafting and editing media materials, including media briefing documents, written Q&As, bylined articles, and press releases.
  • Work cross-functionally across marketing, legal and various business units, as well as ADP Research; assist in the creation of digital and multimedia PR assets.
  • Provide a data and AI-forward mindset to how the team measures and optimizes earned media impact.
  • Facilitate compilation of quarterly and campaign-based recap reports that showcase results
  • Work closely with external agency partners to develop strategies and press content to secure media coverage and increase relevance among key stakeholders.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree with 5+ years of relevant experience in Communications and Media Relations in an agency or corporate/in-house setting.
  • Experience with crafting and communicating a compelling message, and the ability to influence external audiences.
  • Keen understanding of and experience with media monitoring tools, as well as AI tools
  • Track record of proactively pitching media and landing results; experience with leveraging data to storytell.
  • Ability to build trust with senior executives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to cultivate new media contacts/relationships and brainstorm new angles/approaches for storylines.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to develop communication strategies.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated initiative, ownership, and accountability
  • Energetic and results-oriented attitude, willingness to embrace new ideas and drive change.
