Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and enthusiastic 4th-year Au.D. extern to join our team for the 2026-2027 academic year. The extern will gain hands-on experience in key all aspects of audiology, working closely with our audiologist and support staff in a professional yet friendly setting.

Externship Opportunities Include:

Comprehensive audiologic evaluations for adults and children

Hearing aid consultations, fittings, and follow-up care with major manufacturers

Educational Audiology experience

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive audiologic evaluations for patients of all ages

Perform hearing aid fittings, real-ear verification, adjustments, and follow-ups

Educate patients and families on hearing loss, hearing aid use, and communication strategies

Maintain accurate, timely, and HIPAA-compliant patient records

Collaborate with providers, support staff, and community partners

Participate in community outreach and educational events as needed

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an accredited Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) program

Eligible for a 4th year externship placement (2026-2027 academic year)

Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Professional, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to care

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Willingness to travel between clinic locations if assigned a rotating schedule

Compensation & Schedule

$30k Stipend

No benefits

Full-time (Monday鈥揊riday) schedule, based on clinic hours and academic requirements

Start and end dates will align with your university鈥檚 externship requirements
