We are currently seeking a friendly, energetic, and motivated Assistant Property Manager to support two apartment communities in Sacramento, CA: a 104-unit fully affordable (LIHTC) community and a 134-unit market-rate community.


This is an exciting opportunity for a property management professional who enjoys working with people and thrives in a hands-on environment. The Assistant Property Manager will play an integral role in supporting the success of both communities by building and maintaining positive resident relationships, engaging prospective residents through creative marketing and compelling property tours, providing exceptional customer service, and partnering with the Property Manager to support the financial and operational performance of the communities.


The ideal candidate will be a hands-on team player who demonstrates strong leadership, professionalism, organization, and a genuine commitment to creating exceptional resident experiences.


Schedule

Tuesday–Saturday | 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

This position will be split between the two apartment communities on a rotating weekly schedule. The schedule will alternate between a 3/2 and 2/3 day rotation each week:

  • Week 1: 3 days at one community and 2 days at the other
  • Week 2: 2 days at the first community and 3 days at the other
  • The rotation will continue weekly, providing consistent support and leadership at both communities.


Qualifications & Experience

  • 1–2 years of experience as an Assistant Property Manager at a busy property, preferably with 150+ units.
  • 1-2 years of experience at LIHTC tax credit community.
  • Knowledge of and formal training in Fair Housing Rules and Regulations.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office; experience with property management software such as Yardi and Rent CafĂ© is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong relationships with residents, owners, vendors, and team members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A high level of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel between both apartment communities.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $25.00–$27.00 per hour, plus leasing commissions.

Additional compensation may include, but is not limited to, mileage reimbursement and, where applicable, housing discounts.
