Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Repair Technician II to join its Saline, MI team! Repair Technicians perform repair, rework, assembly, and testing of printed circuit boards (PCBs). Depending on level, technicians may be responsible for basic soldering tasks, advanced troubleshooting, training, or procedure development.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex PCB repair and rework activities, including advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Develop and improve repair processes, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians in repair methods and best practices.
  • Perform machine and equipment setup, calibration, and maintenance for rework processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering to resolve recurring defects or design-related issues.
  • Ensure quality standards are met through inspections, testing, and documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to technical decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of PCB repair and assembly experience with demonstrated expertise.
  • Advanced proficiency with BGA rework, micro-soldering, and precision troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of IPC-610, IPC-7711/7721, J-STD-001, quality, and reliability standards.
  • Proven ability to train others and lead technical projects.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
