Job Overview/Job Brief

 

This is an operations position responsible for maintaining and coordinating all slotting processes with a goal of reducing the overall operations cost per case. Must manage and develop slotting processes resulting in improved productivity. The Slotting Coordinator is responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and supports the entire life cycle of the product; identifying the most appropriate storage type based on the current demand or forecasted demand. Analyzes, cube movement, storage type, consolidation, and warehouse zoning. Must take ownership of the entire Slotting/Cubing process, always looking to establish new and innovative ways to do business. Establishes relationships with Warehouse, Purchasing, IT, and Data Management to assist and work alongside regarding items (new, substitutes, inactive, etc.).

Schedule: Monday-Friday. From 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Pay: $20.00 to $25.00. Based off of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and participate in the physical inventory of warehouse items, compiling inventory records and preparing reports, as needed.
  • Determine warehouse placement of all incoming merchandise and ensures that merchandise is slotted within before receipt.
  • Move product, as needed, to make room for new products to efficiently utilize warehouse space and track product movement through the warehouse.
  • Rearrange and take the dimensions of merchandise to maximize total cubic feet usage of available warehouse space.
  • Execute TI/His and Code Date changes as requested.
  • Separate items, as needed, to reduce the possibility of mis-picks and mis-delivery of products to customers.
  • Plan and execute additional racking components as needed.
  • Follow HACCP and Food allergens guidelines.
  • Respond quickly and decisively to problem situations and anticipate, and proactively take preventative action.
  • Read and analyze reports/information/data
  • Exemplify strong execution, follow up and communication
  • Maintain a balance between the Q.A. Department, Inventory Control, Day Ops, and Night Ops (pick path order selecting and forklift).

Requirements

  • At least 18 years old.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and slotting.
  • Able to use stand-up forklifts, and ride on pallet jacks.
  • Has previous experience and knowledge of storeroom methods in the areas of shipping/receiving and delivery/stock rotation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Able to lift 50 pounds regularly
