Position Summary:Â
The Mechanical Engineer III is responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team mechanical design, analysis, and implementation within the aerospace/defense industry. The Senior Mechanical Engineer III will represent the Company and its values and will ensure that expectations are met

Duties and Responsibilities:Â
- Lead and mentor a team of multidisciplinary engineers, designers and drafters fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.Â
- Provide guidance and technical expertise to team members, ensuring the successful execution of all projects.Â
- Perform full lifecycle of product development management.Â
- Design systems and components that meet the needs and requirements of the customer.Â
- Produce outlines, concepts, design and final design drawings.Â
- Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems.Â
- Alter and modify designs to meet requirements and to eliminate/reduce manufacturing time.Â
- Prepare product drawings and technical documentation in support of customer requirements and deliverables.Â
- Drive budget, quality, and schedule deliverables for individual and team tasksÂ
General Expectations:Â
- Has a high proficiency operating Auto Cad/Draft Sight, SolidWorks, and SolidWorks PDM or equivalentÂ
- High proficiency with structural members, 3D mechanical routing, and large assembliesÂ
- Takes the initiative to find innovative ways of solving complex design issues.Â
- High proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Â
- Can take on design problems and create designs/drawings with minimal guidance.Â
- Will provide training as needed to other engineers/designersÂ
- Will review designs/drawings/documentation of other engineers/designersÂ
- Has a working knowledge of UL, FAA, and Military standardsÂ
- Will be team oriented and able to take lead on projects in the group.Â
- Liaison with planning, production, and qualityÂ
- Reflects the Company’s values in all communications and activities.Â
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in written form, internally and externally.Â
- Proficient in troubleshooting methodologies.Â
- Motor control system experience is preferred.Â
Qualifications:Â
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Aerospace or Mechatronics EngineeringÂ
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the Aerospace industryÂ
- In-depth knowledge of different metals, their properties, and applications for engineering design.Â
- Strong familiarity with military standards, parts, and fasteners.Â
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD) and structural analysis tools.Â
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Â
- Proven track record in the design, analysis, and implementation of aircraft structural components and systems.Â
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Â
- Is rigorous and data-driven in decision making.Â
Work Environment Requirements:Â
- Full-Time PositionÂ
- International and domestic travel in support of product designs, implementations, or ongoing serviceÂ
- Extensive interaction with production floor activitiesÂ
