Responsibilities
- Meets all training and competency requirements.
- Provides schedules for staffing at respective clinic and provides support for staff and clinicians.
- Coordinates scheduling of patient tests, ensuring follow-up appointments with physician are scheduled.
- Provides in-service training and acts as a preceptor; coaches and assists with performance evaluations for medical assistants.
- Participates with leadership team to ensure effective clinical operations.
- May document patient exams in electronic health record, noting specifically the exam components, diagnoses, treatment plans, orders, and medications.
- Performs Point of Care Testing (POCT), documents and reports clinical findings to Registered Nurse (RN) in charge and/or Provider.
- Demonstrates proficiency of all MA clinical and administrative duties
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

- Possess analytical thinking – this role requires analyzing information and using logic to coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner.
- Participates as an integral part of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in providing the highest quality of care to the patient the UT Health Way.
- Knowledge of EPIC software; may be required to be EPIC super user.
- Meets all training and competency requirements.
