We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursing Director – Labor & Delivery to lead the clinical and operational success of a high-volume L&D department. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong nursing leader to shape patient care, develop high-performing teams, and drive excellence across Labor & Delivery services.
What You’ll Do
- Provide 24/7 leadership and oversight of Labor & Delivery operations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop nursing teams while promoting a positive, collaborative culture.
- Drive patient safety, quality outcomes, and evidence-based nursing practice.
- Partner with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to enhance maternal and newborn outcomes.
- Oversee staffing, resource utilization, workflows, and departmental performance.
- Support budget planning, resource management, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
- Lead performance improvement initiatives using data and measurable outcomes.
- Foster staff engagement, professional development, and clinical excellence.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- BSN from an accredited nursing program.
- Current Texas RN license.
- 5+ years of Labor & Delivery or related clinical experience.
- Current BLS certification (AHA).
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of progressive nursing leadership or management experience.
- Nursing specialty or healthcare administration certification.
- Experience leading high-volume L&D operations and multidisciplinary teams.
