We are seeking a reliable and service-focused Restaurant / Bar Supervisor to join our team. This position plays a key role in ensuring consistent service standards, supporting front-of-house staff, and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Position Schedule
- Saturday & Sunday: AM Supervisor shifts
- Monday: PM Supervisor shift
- Two additional PM shifts as a bartender or server
- Schedule subject to change based on business needs
Primary Objective
The primary objective of the Restaurant / Bar Supervisor is to ensure a positive first and last impression for all guests. This role is responsible for supervising front-of-house operations during assigned shifts, maintaining service standards, and providing friendly, accurate assistance to guests both in person and over the phone.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure high-quality service and guest satisfaction throughout each shift
- Supervise servers, bussers, and bartenders to ensure compliance with company procedures and service standards
- Conduct table touches and address guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Ensure staff take required breaks and provide coverage as needed
- Maintain thorough knowledge of food and beverage menus
- Coordinate parties, reservations, and special guest requests
- Assign work tasks and coordinate staff activities to ensure efficient service
- Inspect dining and lounge areas for cleanliness and organization
- Requisition linens, supplies, and other necessary items
- Assist with interviewing and training new hires
- May assist with creating weekly staff schedules
- Maintain working knowledge of hotel facilities and local attractions to assist guests
- Be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience a must. Hospitality supervisory experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to remain professional and composed in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to delivering excellent guest service
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
Physical Demands & Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must also be able to go up and down a flight of stairs while carrying up to 25 pounds. The employee may be frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise is usually moderate to loud.
