Primary Purpose:
Leads complex supply‑chain improvement efforts—such as optimizing inventory, transportation, or fulfillment capacity—and translates analytical findings into operational recommendations. Coordinates cross‑functional pilots and helps build adoption of new processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Builds cost‑and‑service models to quantify trade‑offs and determine the most efficient distribution or replenishment strategy.
- Designs enhancements to warehouse flows, transportation routing, or carrier mix and validates improvements through controlled trials.
- Creates demand‑and‑supply alignment scenarios and ensures alignment with financial and operational goals.
- Refines inventory policies by product segment and variability; evaluates impact on service levels and overall inventory turns.
- Leads corrective‑action programs with suppliers and carriers, verifying that issues are resolved and performance improves.
- Recommends system configuration improvements for planning, transportation, or warehouse platforms to improve accuracy and throughput.
- Summarizes complex analysis into concise, decision‑ready recommendations for managers and cross‑functional partners.
- Mentors early‑career professionals on analytical techniques and communication of insights.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Typically requires 5 years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to assess trade-offs between cost, service, and complexity.
- Ability to independently diagnose process inefficiencies and root causes.
- Ability to lead defined optimization or redesign initiatives.
- Knowledge of advanced supply chain process design and optimization principles.
- Knowledge of technology and system impacts on supply chain performance.
- Skill in applying quantitative analysis to evaluate improvement scenarios.
- Skill in influencing stakeholders using data-driven recommendations.
