About the Role:

The Electrical Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of electrical projects within the organization. This position involves coordinating between various stakeholders including engineers, contractors, suppliers, and clients to maintain project timelines and budgets. The coordinator will manage project documentation, track progress, and facilitate communication to resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle. By overseeing resource allocation and compliance with safety and quality standards, the role ensures that projects meet both regulatory requirements and client expectations. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in project coordination or management within the electrical or construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or equivalent tools.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management credentials.
  • Experience working with electrical contractors and familiarity with procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of safety management systems and OSHA regulations related to electrical work.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel or Power BI.
  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) or other construction technology platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and monitor all phases of electrical projects from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between project teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to facilitate clear and timely communication.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain project documentation including schedules, progress reports, contracts, and compliance records.
  • Assist in resource planning and allocation to optimize workforce and material usage while minimizing delays and cost overruns.
  • Identify potential risks and issues, proactively developing mitigation strategies and escalating concerns to management as needed.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Support procurement processes by coordinating with vendors and tracking delivery of electrical components and materials.
  • Organize and lead project meetings, documenting action items and following up to ensure timely resolution.
