Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for 4th to 6th year Associates with an interest in financial services litigation and representing broker-dealers and registered representatives in FINRA arbitrations in securities sales practices matters and other proceedings.  Positions are available in Los Angeles or San Francisco. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and interpersonal skills, be interested in working on a collaborative, cross-office team, and have strong case management skills.  We offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package. 

Job Requirements:

Qualifications for this position are:

  • Experience analyzing issues for, conducting research for, and drafting briefs addressing sophisticated legal issues.

  • Experience in FINRA arbitration.

  • Successfully prepared for and participation at motion argument.

  • Prepared outlines and exhibits for depositions; taking or defending depositions is a plus. 

  • Trial preparation experience, including preparation of outlines and exhibits for direct and cross-examinations.

  • Ability to be strategic, analytical, and working directly with clients.

  • Case management experience, including running written discovery responses, document review and production, and working with experts. 

Law Review/Journal and/or Moot Court experience preferred, but not essential. Candidates must have a solid academic performance and be in good standing with the California State Bar.  Admission to the Northern, Eastern, Central and Southern Districts of California preferred but not required.

The expected pay range for this position is:

$305,000 to $390,000 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.  Additional voluntary programs include:  voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary critical illness and cancer insurance and pet insurance.  Commuter and Transit programs may also be available in certain markets.
