Job Summary:
Leads advanced Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) workflows at the project level, ensuring integration of model-based processes to improve cost, schedule, and quality outcomes. Applies deep technical knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and construction technology to support coordination, quantification, and planning activities. Partners with design, engineering, and construction teams to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact field operations. Mentors VDC Engineers and collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance digital delivery, and maximize model-based value for the project and client. Applies VDC technical knowledge to configure and set up projects to host Building Information Modeling (BIM) data adhering to DPR’s current best practices for modeling, coordination, visual planning, quantification and additional cross-functional use cases.

Key Responsibilities:
Leads implementation of project-specific VDC workflows including coordination, quantification, and visual planning in alignment with DPR standards.
Oversees model setup, integration, and management across disciplines, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and constructability.
Identifies and resolves design and coordination conflicts early to minimize construction impacts and improve field productivity.
Collaborates with design and trade partners to facilitate model-based communication, fabrication alignment, and sequencing visualization.
Prepares visuals, drawings, and documentation from models to support project communication and RFI processing. Follows up on RFI’s and ensures timely resolution.
Trains and mentors project team members in the use of VDC tools and best practices to improve project delivery efficiency, while also learning and implementing new software and technology to meet project requirements.
Applies advanced proficiency in navigating models to identify building systems and interpret contract documents, and contributes to VDC knowledge sharing by capturing lessons learned and advancing continuous improvement initiatives across projects.

Education Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.

Work Experience:
3-6 years of experience in Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), Building Information Modeling (BIM), or a related field required.

Certifications and Licenses:
None required.

Anticipated starting pay range:

$108,000.00- $145,000.00
