THE ROLE

 

The Customer Operations Account Manager is responsible for operations between AMD and its customers. They build strong and sustainable relationships at operational and managerial levels within both the customer’s and AMD’s organizations. The Customer Operations Account Manager leverages these relationships to manage expectations, improve operations, and resolve order, supply, delivery, forecast and other operational issues. They work to achieve organizational goals. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Review customer backlogs and partner with factory, finance, sales, and customers to resolve issues
  • Manage business across the product lifecycle, including NPI and EOL
  • Manage inventory and DOI to minimize inventory costs
  • Analyze demand, supply, consumption rates, and ordering patterns for direct customers and distribution channels
  • Maintain accurate, timely revenue forecasts and support revenue attainment
  • Build strategic relationships across internal and external stakeholders to ensure business continuity
  • Lead key projects, improve processes, advise business partners, and support organizational strategy
  • Collaborate across the team to share best practices, remove obstacles, and improve capabilities through new tools and processes
  • Drive operational excellence, customer collaboration, and implementation of new processes
  • Lead quarterly business reviews and operational meetings with customers
  • Guide operational issue resolution using a strong understanding of business processes and procedures

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

 

  • Understanding of business strategy with experience identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Experience with revenue forecasting, performance tracking, and revenue attainment
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and cross-functional management skills
  • Ability to manage uncertainty and resolve internal and external conflict
  • Strong executive writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills, including discussing operational concepts with customers, management, and teams
  • Experience developing and strengthening customer relationships
  • Strong supply chain and project management experience
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and AI tools

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent industry-related experience

  • San Jose, CA
