Description

Agency Executive (Regional Distribution Manager) — West Region

Are you a relationship-builder who thrives on turning strong broker partnerships into real business growth? We're looking for an Agency Executive (Regional Distribution Manager) to join our Global Risk Solutions (GRS) team and become the face of our brand to key regional brokers and agencies across the West.   The role has a focus on Middle Market and Mid-Sized Construction business, but will have full responsibility over all GRS Divisions including Majors, Middle, Construction and Specialty.

This is more than a distribution role — it's a chance to shape how we show up in the marketplace. You'll work at the intersection of sales, strategy, and relationship management, partnering closely with our Regional Distribution and Underwriting teams to grow our renewal book, unlock cross-sell opportunities, and win new business, all while delivering a best-in-class experience for the brokers and agents who trust us with their clients.

If you love being in the field, building trust, and being the go-to person who makes things happen for both internal teams and external partners, this role was made for you.

What You'll Do:

  • Build and nurture high-value relationships with regional brokers and agencies that fuel profitable growth in our Middle Markets segment.
  • Be the voice of GRS in the marketplace — clearly articulating our underwriting appetite and business strategy to agents and brokers.
  • Partner with business segment leaders to craft and execute growth plans spanning new business, submissions, rate, and retention.
  • Spearhead cross-sell initiatives that open doors across GRS segments and capitalize on regional market opportunities.
  • Co-create strategic business plans with agents/brokers and regional leadership to drive targeted, profitable growth.
  • Bring your sales instincts to the table — spotting new opportunities, deepening market penetration, and driving both retention and new business.
  • Stay closely aligned with production underwriters, ensuring smooth communication and keeping leadership informed on wins and watchouts.
  • Champion a collaborative, service-first culture that keeps brokers and clients coming back.
  • Take a solutions-first approach to client and broker questions, leading meetings, and presentations with confidence.
  • Keep a pulse on market and competitor trends, adjusting your strategy to stay ahead.
  • Represent GRS at industry and broker association events, expanding your network and our footprint.
Qualifications
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent usually obtained with 5+ years of insurance and underwriting experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external business partners and foster a culture of effective working relationships
  • Strong understanding of P&C and Specialty insurance products with proven business development/sales skills and the ability to manage through influence and foster trusted relationships
  • Must have the ability to work collaboratively and effectively on a team
