Job Scope

The Lab Technician reports directly to the Q.A. Supervisor / Lead.  This position is responsible to complete tasks for Color and Quality Control and for the overall performance of the Q.A. function.

 

Duties

  • Makes sure that all required QA tests are performed per the test methods, on every batch. This QC information is to be entered into the SAP system before the product feedback is done for shipping.  Paperwork is to be complete and accurate.
  • Follow directions from the Senior Production Supervisor and Production Leads, on which batches are hot and need to be completed as soon as possible.
  • Follow the Quality directives set by the Research Department.
  • Communicate all quality/safety concerns to the Q.A. Supervisor / Lead or another supervisor if the Q.A. Supervisor is unavailable.
  • Ensure that the housekeeping and appearance of the lab is acceptable and sufficient to promote safety and quality work.
  • Complies with all PPE requirements.
  • Makes improvement suggestions to a supervisor or puts them in the suggestion box.
  • Responsible to support and strive to meet Plant and Corporate Goals as provided by the Director of Manufacturing and the Site Manager.
  • Participates in various plant meetings. Including but not limited to PACT/HSE, general plant meetings, training sessions, and Quarterly Quality Review meetings.
  • Maintain procedures and practices required to maintain ISO certification

 

Education/Skills
