About the Role:

The General Laborer position in the manufacturing industry is essential for supporting daily production operations and ensuring a smooth workflow on the factory floor. This role involves performing a variety of physical tasks that contribute to the assembly, maintenance, and packaging of products. The successful candidate will work closely with team members to meet production targets while adhering to safety and quality standards. Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately are critical to maintaining operational efficiency. Ultimately, this role supports the overall manufacturing process by providing reliable and consistent labor to meet company goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Basic reading and comprehension skills to understand work instructions and safety guidelines.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools and machinery operation.
• Basic knowledge of workplace safety standards such as OSHA regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the loading and unloading of raw materials and finished products.
• Operate basic machinery and tools under supervision to support production activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to comply with safety regulations.
• Perform manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and assembling components as directed.
• Inspect products for defects and report any quality issues to supervisors.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Support inventory management by tracking materials and supplies.

Skills:

The required skills such as physical stamina and the ability to follow detailed instructions are used daily to safely and efficiently complete manual tasks that support production. Communication skills enable the laborer to understand directions from supervisors and coordinate with team members to maintain workflow. Preferred skills like familiarity with machinery and safety standards enhance the ability to operate equipment correctly and reduce workplace hazards.
